Traffic Studies

Examining the Impact of Traffic Signals on Transportation.

Winter / Spring 2018

There are many indications that bringing traffic signal information into vehicles improves safety, fuel efficiency, and CO2 emissions. To help scientifically validate these benefits in the real world and determine how best to achieve them, Connected Signals is conducting a six-month scientific study, designed in collaboration with the U.S Department of Energy’s Argonne National Laboratory, in Phoenix, San José, Las Vegas, and Portland.

Study participants will have access to the latest technology designed to safely help them navigate signals efficiently. By participating, you will help shape the future of how signal information is presented to connected vehicles, potentially leading to safety and environmental benefits for years to come.

Participants’ information will be completely confidential, and all data collected will be anonymized to ensure privacy.
